Our Pastor

Meet Our Pastor: James L. Rowson, Jr.

Elder James L. Rowson, Jr., a native of Mount Vernon, New York, acknowledged the call to minister God’s Holy Word at the tender age of 16. A gifted musician, composer, worship leader and spiritual teacher, Rowson has worked in various spiritual capacities throughout his life.

By God’s Grace, in October of 2002, Rowson and his wife, Andrena, founded Kingdom Life Ministries in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

In addition to prolific pastoralship, Rowson studied Psychology at the University of South Carolina and remains committed to the advancement of scholarship and is in the process of pursuing his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree. An avid reader and scholar, Rowson published his first book, The Blessing of Being Left Alone (MAC Publishing), in October 2012. In this life-changing book, Rowson reveals God’s true purpose for the issues that we face in our everyday lives.

Under the leadership of Elder Rowson, both congregations continue to experience rapid development and progression. Rowson attributes the church’s steady growth to its holistic approach in addressing the needs of all mankind.

Rowson is married to the former Andrena Jackson of Columbia, South Carolina. Together they have two sons, Arlo Cedric (Patricia) and Andrew James; one granddaughter and two grandsons. They continue to labor in the Kingdom of God, equipping his people for the incomparable work of ministry.
